FINAS Decision P1/2018, Requirements applied to the accreditation activities came into force on 11.6.2018.
It is confirmed that the following requirements are applied to the accreditation of testing and calibration laboratories
- SFS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories
- The standard replaces SFS-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005. The transition period is till 30.11.2020.
It is confirmed that the following requirements are applied to assessing the competence
- SFS-EN ISO/IEC 17011:2017 Conformity assessment. Requirements for accreditation bodies accrediting conformity assessment bodies.
- The standard replaces SFS-EN ISO/IEC 17011:2004. The transition period is until 30.11.2020.

Requirement V1/2018
FINAS Requirement V1/2018, Rules for Reference to Accreditation replace the corresponding previous rules (FINAS V1/2017) as of 11.6.2018 and are in force until further notice.
The Rules take into account a new requirement for certification bodies certifying persons. The example of the accreditation symbol for EN ISO/IEC 17021-1 has been updated. The instructions for the use of the IAF MLA and ILAC MRA marks has been added to parts 7.3 and 7.4. The references in part 4 have been updated.
